Nicole Blaffert *1973 in Furtwangen, 1995-2001 Studium Medienkunst und der Kunstwissenschaften an der Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe.
Franz Wamhof *1963 in Osnabrück, 1992-1995 Studium Kunst/-pädagogik, Kunstgeschichte und Medienwissenschaft an der Universität Osnabrück, 1995-2000 Studium Medienkunst an der HfG Karlsruhe.

Blaffert & Wamhof studied under Thomas Struth, Candida Höfer und Günther Förg. Since 1999, they have been developing artistic projects, mostly site-specific and often multimedia installations. Their collaborative work focuses on artistic documentary photography. In 2007, they added the production of photobooks to their repertoire. Both live and work in Karlsruhe.

Blaffert & Wamhof haben bei Thomas Struth, Candida Höfer, Marcel Odenbach und Günther Förg studiert.
Sie entwickeln seit 1999 künstlerische Projekte, meist ortsbezogen, oft als Multimedia-Installationen. Schwerpunkt der gemeinsamen Arbeit ist die künstlerische Dokumentarfotografie. 2007 kam die Produktion von Fotobüchern dazu. Beide leben und arbeiten in Karlsruhe.
